I’ve been writing books for a long time. I can’t publish them. I’m not popular. Based on one of the series, I started to write the script of the series. I rewrote it many, many times.
You could post your script on your profile. Producers search profiles for projects. Click the gear symbol in the top right-hand corner and select “Edit profile” in the drop-down menu. Scroll down to “Loglines” and click “Add/edit loglines” to the right of “Loglines.” You can also post your script on your profile this way: www.stage32.com/loglines (near the top where it says “Add a Logline”)
Thanks for sharing so honestly, and welcome to Stage 32, Mikka Hope! I’m Ashley, the Head of Community here, and I just want to say, you’re not alone.
So many great scripts and books take years to develop, and rewriting is such a vital part of the process. The fact that you’ve stayed committed to your story speaks volumes. I’d love to encourage you to join the Screenwriting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting), where you can connect with other writers who are on the same path, ask questions, and share your journey.
You might also consider checking out the Authoring & Playwriting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/playwriting) since you’ve been writing books as well. And if you’re looking to take the next step with your script, we have a free month of the Writer’s Room available here: https://www.stage32.com/writers-room/plans-vip. It’s a welcoming, supportive group of writers learning and growing together every week.
