Not Getting Anything Out of Screenwriting

So I have entered a few entries into a contests, and I have some thoughts about the outcome, because I haven't had anything out of them, I didn't get accepted by the entries, I didn't made it into the quarterfinals, I didn't get an agent or a manager, I didn't win the contests and the judges didn't give me a reason why my scripts aren't accepted in the contests, so what am I doing wrong

Maurice Vaughan

Hey, Steven Gibson. I suggest getting feedback on your script. It could help you improve your scripts so you place in and win screenwriting contests.

And contests are great, but they're not the only way to have success as a screenwriter. You could network/build relationships with producers, directors, executives, actors, and so on, which could lead to script requests, options, sales, jobs, etc. You could pitch your scripts. You could make your scripts. And you could turn your scripts into books, audio dramas, graphic novels, etc. and sell them.

I agree with Maurice Vaughan - did you get notes on your work or try to book a consultation? Screenwriting is a highly competitive field and a thing as simple as wrongly formatting your script could disqualify you for opportunities.
