You heard it here first.
In 2014, visionary filmmaker Shinya Tsukamoto (“Tetsuo: The Iron Man”) made an unflinching adaptation of “Fires on the Plain,” based on the landmark novel by Shōhei Ōoka. Despite premiering at the 71st Venice International Film Festival to good reviews, “Fires on the Plain” was never distributed in North America.
Until now.
I am proud to announce “Fires on the Plain” is now available in North America for streaming, rental, and purchase on Prime Video. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FNL1J9WR/ (content warning: strong violence and language)
Congratulations, Kyle Curry! I’m a Stage 32 Lounge Moderator. I wanted to let you know I moved your post from the Distribution Lounge to the Your Stage Lounge because it’s promotion. Promotion can go in the Your Stage Lounge and on Your Wall.
You can put promotion in a main Lounge (Distribution Lounge, Producing Lounge, Filmmaking/Directing Lounge, etc.) if your post starts a conversation that’s helpful or educational to the community, like giving advice or asking a question.
You can also put promotion in one of the main Lounges if you're asking for feedback.
Let me know if you have any questions.
