Screenwriting : Property sales advice by Mark Thomson

Property sales advice

hi there,

i have several treatments and concepts I have put together - is there a particular process to get these infront of agents, producers or studios for feedback or advice?

i would particularly love to get my 4-film Horror slate infront of Blumhouse for feedback.

i am a member of the New Zealand Writer’s Guild but they haven’t offered any assistance at all. I do not have full length scripts, but if that’s the best way forward, I can invest in collaboration with co-writers if needed.

thanks in advance

Maurice Vaughan

Hi, Mark Thomson. I’m a Stage 32 Lounge Moderator. I wanted to let you know I moved your post from the Financing/Crowdfunding Lounge to the Screenwriting Lounge since it fits better in this Lounge. Let me know if you have any questions.

I think the best option is:

Write the scripts (you could make a collaboration post on Stage 32's Job Board www.stage32.com/find-jobs)

Network as you and your writing partners write the scripts (www.stage32.com/blog/tags/networking-41 and www.stage32.com/meetups)

Enter screenplay contests (Stage 32 is the Global Screenwriting Contest Hub www.stage32.com/scriptservices/contests)

Pitch your scripts to executives, managers, etc. through Stage 32's Pitch Sessions (www.stage32.com/scriptservices/pitch-sessions). The Pitch Sessions are mainly to get feedback on pitches, but members have gotten managers, signed shopping agreements, etc. through the sessions (www.stage32.com/scriptservices/success-stories).
