I'm more of a feature script writer and short script writer, but I have some experience writing teleplays, Mark Osborn. Something I do to improve pacing is cut the slow parts, but I'll keep the slow parts if they're important.
Something else I do to improve pacing is combine scenes.
I also move scenes around so the pacing in the script is better.
And something I do to keep the reader engaged is have something big/shocking/etc. happen in the middle of a scene or have something big/etc. happen every few pages or so in the script.
Thank you Maurice. I’ve had a couple of TV scripts reviewed recently and I do fine in most areas, but pacing seems to be the lower of the scores. I’m going through refining now and I will give your suggestions a try. Thanks again.
