Figured I'd formally introduce myself before the weekend wraps up. I'm Ernest Sandefer, but you might also know or see me under my pen name Ernest Writer. I'm an American based novelist and screenwriter looking to further my career in both publishing and screenwriting.
I've published three books already and currently working on my 4th also polishing a few screenplays at the moment.
My typical genre's are drama and comedy, but like to describe my style as "whatever feels genuine."
I'm always open to networking and connecting with other creatives. Excuse my slow responses, I'm not really a big social media guy so yes, I sometimes forget that I have an account here

Welcome to Stage 32 Ernest Sandefer I appreciate you introducing yourself. When you say "whatever feels genuine" do you draw from your own life to write your stories?

Hey! Maurice Vaughan my first book is actually a self-help book about dating. That's not the genre I typically write, but when I first started off as an author, that was the field I thought I'd want to get into.

@Suzanne, I do draw from my own life experiences and include them in stories, but very little. I usually will have a side character who is somewhat of a representation of who I am or have characters go through something I have. What I meant by "whatever feels genuine" is I don't try to box myself in with one genre seeing as comedy and drama tend to be the majority of the stories that I write. My first novel was a noir and right now I'm working on a story that is somewhat like a coming of age story.

Maurice Vaughan Not sure if I'm allowed to share links on this feed but I have an ebook filled with flash fiction stories I wrote while I was completing my Bachelor's in Creative writing and a noir novel set in 50s about a trio of mob families feuding for control and survival of the city. You can find all of my books here https://payhip.com/ErnestWritersBooks.
