As I’ve mentioned before, I’m originally from the planet Zog and have been living in Hong Kong ever since my spaceship crashed on Earth in 2006. I then went incognito as a science-fiction writer. My mechanic has repaired my spaceship, so I’m planning a trip in November to Zog, with a stopover on Mars. After that, I’ll return to Hong Kong to finish my latest book about a Martian running around the city.
A few months ago, I won the Hong Kong Writers Circle’s monthly contest for micro-fiction with a 55-word story titled “Remembrance,” which prompted me to set up a Substack page.

My short stories have appeared in the Hong Kong Writers Circle Magazine, The Apostrophe (Dec 2023), and the 2024 and 2025 SciFi Anthologies published by the Science Fiction Novelists on Facebook.

Hey, Michael A. Clement. Great to see you at Introduce Yourself Weekend again. What are you gonna do on Zog in November? And what's on Mars?

Maurice Vaughan The Maritians are very nice creatures. And the planet has beautiful sunsets. On Zog, I'll buy a new spaceship. They have reasonable financing rates. The latest models can go from zero to the speed of light in no time.
Safe space travels, Michael A. Clement! Are you working on new projects?

Maurice Vaughan Beside writing some short stories -- see my Substack page -- I'm still working on my story about a Martian running around Hong Kong.
