It's depressing when you get comments/notes/coverage from different paid review sources that all provide different guidance/recommendations - oftentimes conflicting with each other. And many times it's clear that the paid reader didn't grasp the concept of the story being told. (possibly an AI reviewer).
However, I've received excellent comments from other writers where we swapped scripts to review. Those comments I've received from other writers (non-paid sources), although maybe not as detailed as from the paid reviewers, have proved to be extremely helpful for refining my work - frequently more helpful than those from paid coverage.
