Just finished my first comedy and first animated short script for children called CHULA'S PLAN. Has anyone else written a cartoon? If so, did you find a lot of interest in producing it? Do you have any suggestions, recommendations, warnings for me? Thanks in advance for your help.

Congratulations, Gigi Skolnick! I wrote an animated kids' series and animated scripts. I haven't found any interest in them yet, but I think one reason is I haven't pitched them a lot. I've been focused on pitching my live-action projects. I suggest networking with producers, directors, etc. who work in Animation.

It sounds like the animation studios are in a state of change.

That being said, there are also new players in the market. For example, Prime has a few successful shows that launched fairly recently like Vox Machina and Secret Level. Both have a gaming nexus which makes sense because Amazon owns Twitch.
I write mainly for live action. Some of my work, especially in fantasy, would be adaptable to animation.
There are people on Stage32 who have some suggestions for animation that have been mentioned during Pitch tank.

It is possible to make short proof of concept animations using programs like Synfig, SpriterPro, and Papagayo. I even wrote a short Python program to batch convert the Papagayo data. I created a 5 minute “talkie” for my social media work, I included the character references in the credits. I kept things very simple. Other programs offer more depth, but for $20, it is possible to create shorter animations that are suitable for 1080p. I think you can now create 2d animations out of 3d models in Blender, but I have not tried that. I also have not had the chance to explore animation in Krita. I am too busy writing atm.

I created a nutty psychiatrics doctor. The first film was one minute long. Became more popular than I expected, so I decided to create more. Mostly filming, but also about 10 cartoons and about 150 comic strips. No, I am no good at making drawings, so I stopped after that.

I have completed two! One that I completed all by myself that almost killed me and took my sanity and another one where I wrote the script, casted all the VAs, and designed the characters, that one wasn't so stressful cuz I recognized my limits and partnered with an animator.
In both of these I also created all the characters and the respective novels that go with these things. Both are passion projects. I went hard.
