Screenwriting Contest Submission Question

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can help me - I haven't gotten any info from the Vail Film Fest or Stage32 on this question and the Vail submission deadline is tonight. The contest rules state the judging is anonymous but they don't say anything about title pages: include, omit or include without name/contact. Different contests have different rules, Zoetrope asks for a title page without name/contact, others say no title page etc.

Anyone with experience submitting to Vail film fest or any thoughts? Thanks so much!

Hi, Kate Lehman. Did you email contests@stage32.com already?

Kate Lehman

I did, their answer said to include it but it was unclear as the context they suggested that in was coverage and pitch session.

ie: "Our submissions are handled securely and only shared directly with the executive or reader assigned to your coverage or pitch session."

I didn't receive an answer to my follow up clarifying q.

My approach has always been if they don't specify, to just submit with a standard title page.

Thanks for the input!

Hey Kate Lehman in the past, Vail Screenplay competitions rules have stated "Include only Title on the cover page." Not sure why that wouldn't be included in the listing on Stage 32 or updated to reflect changes in policy. This source is from 2022 though: https://writers.coverfly.com/competitions/view/vail?season=2022#rules

Thanks Pat, that language wasn't on the 2025 Vail FF website rules either which added to my confusion! Fingers crossed the way I did it was ok...
