Hello, I’m Javiera Estefanía Cvita, actress and writer.
I am developing my film project The Blood of Dreams, a story in which love, time and memory intertwine between two souls that seem to recognize each other beyond a single lifetime.
During the creative process two poetic concepts emerged that became the symbolic heart of the film:
Anemoia, the nostalgia for times that never existed.
Saudade, the presence of an absence that both hurts and illuminates.
These emotional states guide my characters, especially in their encounters across planes — life, death, dream and memory.
My challenge now is how to translate this spiritual connection into images and sound, without falling into literal or easy romantic clichés.
How do you represent the invisible in cinema?
Have you used visual or sonic devices that convey this kind of resonance between two souls or different times?
I appreciate any thoughts or examples.

Lovely to meet you Javiera Estefania Jelic (Cvita) your project sounds interesting! Are you writing a novel, novella or screenplay? I mainly write family, animation, rom-com and drama. I haven't written what you are attempting to write - it sounds very interesting! I'm sorry I'm not much help but do keep me posted on your journey. Have you posted this in the screenwriting lounge as well?

Hi Lauren,
Thank you so much for your kind words! The Blood of Dreams is actually a feature film screenplay I’m developing — a poetic and sensorial drama that explores love, memory, and time through a spiritual lens.
I truly appreciate your interest, and yes, I plan to share it in the Screenwriting Lounge as well.
I’ll definitely keep you posted on the journey — your feedback means a lot.
Warm regards,
Javiera Estefanía Cvita

"How do you represent the invisible in cinema?"
I use, now more sparingly than before, onomatopoeia, especially for O.S. events.
For a visual, include relevant scene items. E.g. boiling soup that over boils during an argument. Partly becuase the characters aren't focused on it, while having it show their mindset.

Hi, Javiera Estefania Jelic (Cvita). I’m a Stage 32 Lounge Moderator. I wanted to let you know I moved your post from the Authoring & Playwriting Lounge to the Screenwriting Lounge since it's about a screenplay. Let me know if you have any questions.
The Blood of Dreams sounds interesting. I use sounds and objects to represent the invisible in cinema.
