Screenwriting : Short script readers by Antony Voronov

Short script readers

I’m currently finishing my short film and started wondering who could give me truly professional feedback on the script. An outside perspective is crucial, especially when working on a socially sharp, art-house story. If anyone here has personal experience with script reading services, I’d love to hear your thoughts — how useful was the feedback for you and your project? Could you please recommend some companies or particular readers?

I get feedback from trusted readers for my short scripts sometimes. You could get feedback on your short through Stage 32 (www.stage32.com/scriptservices/coverage/buy?id=38).

And it's Stage 32's November Write Club. It's a chance to connect with writers, directors, producers, etc., and it could help you reach a goal(s). There's prizes too! If you're interested in joining Write Club, Week 2's blog will be out tomorrow.

Hi Antony,

This is a great and very important question, and I'm following this thread with genuine interest.

You've hit on a crucial point. Finding a "truly professional outside perspective" is vital, especially for the "socially sharp, art-house" stories you mentioned. As a filmmaker from Vietnam focused on similar themes (social realism, psychological depth), I understand how challenging it is to find feedback that truly grasps the nuances of that specific genre.

I am also very keen to see the recommendations and personal experiences that other members share here.

Thanks for raising this topic.
