Hello - I'm Lee Swanson. After years as a novelist, I am finally swimming into unfamiliar waters as a screenwriter. My first screenplay is the pilot for a female-driven historical series entitled, "No Man's Chattel." Set in 14th century Europe, it is an epic saga of a young woman's struggle to find independence and adventure in an era in which female roles were strictly prescribed.
I know period dramas are a hard sell, so I am also developing a screenplay for a thriller set in contemporary Seattle.
I'm happy to be part of the Stage 32 community and look forward to connecting with other creatives from diverse backgrounds and interests.
