GOD’S HANDS
Limited Animated Series
Created by Skyler V. McCullough
EXT. ASHFORD CAPITAL SQUARE - DAY (HEAVY RAIN)
Thunder rolls. A massive crowd splits the square — half waving “FIXER” signs, half “BRING HIM TO JUSTICE.” Lightning flashes. MALIK and SERAPHINE descend slowly from the sky. The crowd parts in terror and worship.
LEADER (megaphone, furious)
Explain yourself to the world!
MALIK lands center stage. His voice carries unnaturally — everyone hears.
MALIK
I’m here to rid this world of its worst nightmares. Starting today.
Scattered cheers and boos.
MALIK scans the crowd. Eyes lock on an older cop in uniform — visibly shaking.
MALIK
Officer Harlan Greggs. Step forward.
The cop is levitated forward, forced to his knees on stage. The crowd gasps.
MALIK (soft, conversational)
Fifteen years ago. You and three others beat a journalist to death. On orders from the mayor. To silence a story.
TALIA pushes through the crowd.
TALIA (voice breaking)
…Dad?
COP (sobbing, head down)
It — it was just supposed to be a warning. Rough him up. I swear, they said no one would—
TALIA (tears streaming, eyes burning)
You killed my father.
MALIK turns to Talia, voice almost kind.
MALIK
Talia Reyes. Investigative journalist. You chased this story your whole life.
He gestures to the cop.
MALIK
Here he is. The man who took him from you.
Crowd murmurs turn restless. Low chants begin: “Kill him…”
TALIA (shaking)
He… he needs a trial. Evidence. Due process.
MALIK (soft, stepping closer)
Due process let him walk free for fifteen years. Due process buried your father in an unmarked grave.
He kneels to her level.
MALIK
I’m offering you what no court ever did. Justice. Right now.
Crowd chants build.
CROWD
KILL HIM… KILL HIM…
TALIA (backing up)
This isn’t justice. This is—
MALIK (quiet)
Say the word, Talia. And it’s over.
Crowd full roar.
CROWD
KILL HIM! KILL HIM! KILL HIM!
Lightning flashes. Massive thunderclap.
TALIA (screaming over the roar, synced with thunder/lightning)
STOP!!!
Beat of dead silence.
MALIK (standing slowly, disappointed)
You see? Even when given a choice… we choose blood.
Casual flick of hand.
The cop's head severed clean. Rolls down stairs. Stops at Talia’s feet — blood mixing with rain.
Crowd erupts — cheers turning to horrified screams.
MALIK (voice low, carrying)
Humanity isn’t fit to govern itself.
He turns to the thousands — arms out.
MALIK
Corruption. Cowardice. Blood on every hand. You’ve proven it today. No more. I will see to it personally. No innocent will die again. Not in this city. Not in this world.
Scattered cheers — then hesitation.
RANDOM VOICE
How are you gonna do that? Just kill whoever disagrees with you?
ANOTHER VOICE
Whoever you deem a threat?
ANOTHER
Who made you judge, jury, and executioner?!
Crowd murmurs turn to boos.
MALIK (smile fading)
I made myself—
RANDOM YELL
You’re no god — you’re a murderer!
Chant spreads.
CROWD
MURDERER… MURDERER… MURDERER!
The chant swells to thousands.
MALIK breathing heavy — fists clenched, veins glowing.
SERAPHINE (stepping forward)
Malik…
MALIK (whisper, mics catch)
This is what you wanted.
He raises one hand.
Shockwaves erupt. Bodies fly. Limbs tear. Buildings crack. Screams cut short.
Square obliterated.
Dust settles. SERAPHINE stands untouched amid carnage.
SERAPHINE (whisper)
Forgive me.
She ascends.
CUT TO:
EXT. ASHPORT ALLEY - CONTINUOUS (HEAVY RAIN)
Malik crouched against the wall, low broken laugh.
MALIK (soft laugh)
You let me… you let me do it all.
SERAPHINE lands ten feet away.
SERAPHINE
Malik. It’s over.
MALIK (laugh building, standing slow)
Over? (step toward her) I haven’t gone far enough.
Low divine hum begins. Gravel levitates. Raindrops slow.
SERAPHINE
You killed children today. Innocents. You became the tyrant you prayed to stop.
MALIK (another step — more gravel orbiting)
And you watched. Every body. Every step. You could’ve ended me the night I prayed in this exact alley.
Thunder syncs with hum.
MALIK (voice rising)
You had faith. In me. In humanity.
One more step. Ground cracks. Rain stops — suspended.
MALIK (shouting)
Look where that got us!
SERAPHINE
I had faith in the boy who wanted to save the world.
MALIK (full roar, aura exploding — rain resumes torrent)
No — that boy died the day this world took his mother!
MALIK (voice dropping to venomous snarl)
I’m starting to realize this is who I’ve always been. I’m tired of hiding behind this… this caring person act. I’m sick of it all!
MALIK (screaming)
I’m better than all of them!
SERAPHINE (quiet, sharp)
Because of what I gave you.
MALIK (inches from her face, spitting fury)
Well maybe you shouldn’t have given it to begin with!
Thunder crashes. Hum peaks.
SERAPHINE (tears and rain, eyes steel)
Then let weakness end you.
The sky splits. Divine light. Armor assembles on Seraphine. Trident slams down — shockwave.
SERAPHINE (trident gripped, stance)
Final warning.
MALIK (grinning through blood)
Warn me.
Immediate impact — fight erupts.
CUT TO:
EXT. ASHFORD DOWNTOWN - CONTINUOUS
Apartment building collapsing. SERAPHINE arms outstretched, holding tons of concrete.
FATHER (on ledge with son)
We’re okay, buddy… the lady’s got us.
SON (crying)
Daddy, I’m scared…
SERAPHINE (strained, soft)
I won’t let you fall. I promise. You’re safe now.
FATHER (tears)
Please… my boy — he’s all I got.
SERAPHINE (almost smiling through strain)
I won’t. Not this time.
MALIK crashes in — tackles Seraphine away.
SERAPHINE (reaching back)
No—NO! Let me go! They’re still—
MALIK (pinning her)
You can’t save them.
Building final groan — collapses fully.
SERAPHINE (desperate)
Malik — please! The child — they’re innocent!
MALIK (cold)
So was Cece. So was everyone. Do you think this changes anything?
SERAPHINE (tears and dust)
I have to try… I have to—
MALIK (leaning close)
You always try. And you always fail.
SERAPHINE (eyes wide — then rage)
…enough.
Headbutt cracks helmet. She rises — blitz punches stagger him, armor dents. Twirling handstand heel kicks to temples — helmet shatters.
She grabs collar with both hands.
SERAPHINE (full scream)
ENOUGH!!!
Spins once — launches him like comet across Atlantic.
CUT TO:
EXT. EUROPEAN FISHING VILLAGE - MOMENTS LATER
Malik impacts — village obliterated.
SERAPHINE lands. Trident hums into her hand.
SERAPHINE (trident raised, tear falling)
I wish it could have ended differently.
MALIK (weak smile, blood on teeth)
Wish you’d done it sooner.
She thrusts. He catches, shatters the tip.
Time stops. Divine Step.
SERAPHINE (voiceover, cold)
Divine Step. The final gift of the top three. The universe itself holds its breath.
She steps sideways — drives broken tip into his chest.
Time resumes.
MALIK (looking down at blood)
…what…
Limps to shore, collapses against rock facing ocean.
SERAPHINE kneels, cradling him.
SERAPHINE
I’m sorry I failed you.
MALIK (last breath)
I’m glad you did… wish you’d done it sooner.
Sees glowing mother on shore.
MOTHER (soft)
It’s time to come home, baby.
He dies.
Seraphine closes his eyes, sobs shaking her.
Helicopters approach. Soldiers shout.
Seraphine launches into sky with his body.
FADE TO BLACK.
WHITE TEXT (one word at a time):

Sometimes justice and mercy are the same blade.
