I wanted to take a moment to properly reintroduce myself. My name is Cyrus, and I’m one of the moderators for the Animation and Post Production Lounge here on Stage 32.
I’m the co-owner of Creative Station, a production company specializing in animation, post-production, and audio. I also work as an audio engineer, focusing on sound design, mixing, mastering, and music production, with an emphasis on supporting storytelling and brand identity.
I’m looking forward to continuing to connect with animators, filmmakers, and creatives here—through collaboration, sharing insights, and helping projects move forward!

Hi Cyrus! Great to meet you this weekend and thanks for stopping by my post to say hi.
I may have to pop over to the animation lounge at some point. I have several animated pieces I'm hoping to work in at some point.
What is one thing you think every creative should keep in mind when planning audio for their film or project?
Hope you have a great IYW and happy networking!

Hey, Cyrus Sales. That's a cool picture. Does Creative Station do audio and editing for mood reels?

Elle Bolan Great meeting you as well and yes please stop in, drop a post and meet some cool people!
Great question, I think creative should keep audio in mind from the start. I've found, most of the time audio is considered (if it's considered at all) during production if not post production however by this time it's usually a "please fix it," instead of "this is the original goal we had in mind."
I think we often get caught up in all the other aspect of creating that we forget how important audio truly is. We listen to audio without visuals (music, radio, podcast, etc) how often do we watch videos without audio? When's the last time you watched a featured film without audio? (Aside from A Quiet Place).

Maurice Vaughan Thank you, I was visiting a post production in the DFW metroplex and the co-owner captured this. One of the most beautiful studios I've stepped into in DFW. Absolutely, do you have examples of mood reels you've seen in the past that inspire you? Always helps to have a references.
You're welcome, Cyrus Sales. Great. I'll keep Creative Station in mind when I make mood reels for my scripts/get reels made. Here's the reel for Barbarian: https://x.com/royleeroy25/status/1569044296367767552
