Hello, I am curious if many people write with settings outside the US and if that helps or hinders selling a script, getting an agent, etc. Most of what I write is set in exotic locales in Latin America.

great to meet you Anthony LaRose - storytelling is irreversibly global at this point. Both organically because of what tech has enabled, but also because countries are getting very competitive with production incentives to attract projects - and producers looooove production incentives. wishing you success!

Hello Anthony LaRose As I am Australian I am committed to telling Australian stories but I am also called by my background to write about the conflict in the Middle East from both perspectives and exploring how peace could be achieved.

I don't live in the US so non-US is my default. Then again I don't really write with any specific location in mind to begin with so truth be told I'm not sure if it's a good thing or not (I'd like to think my stories can happen anywhere so if you think it's in the US, you're not wrong).
