Hey everyone, I have been on Stage 32 for a while now, and have never made a post. But I wanted some feedback to set my expectations for Pitch Submissions. I have had multiple script requests for my pitches. (I have been pitching one story to multiple producers over the last few months.) I am honored that I have received interest and have moved to "round 2" with requests for more. However, out of the five requests over the last few months, I have only heard back –a pass– from one producer. She was my first request, and it was a quick turnaround. So, my expectation was to 1) hear back and 2) get a fairly quick response. But with the other four requests, I have not heard back, some requests as far back as October. I am wondering if it is standard procedure to just not hear back at this phase. Should I assume it is a pass? What have been your experiences, and is there a standard expectation at this phase? Should I put these on the shelf and cross them off my list? Thank you for your feedback.

Hey, Elizabeth (Conte) Torphy. It's great to meet you. Congratulations on the interest and script requests!
It can take a while to hear back about a script request. A month, two months, etc. Sometimes producers, executives, etc. don't get back to writers, and it's a pass. That's been my experience with query letters, not Stage 32's Pitch Sessions.
You could email writerhelp@stage32.com and ask for updates.

Yes, I know of the query process all too well, but I am unfamiliar with the pitch process. Just wanted to know what others were experiencing. Thank you for your input.
You're welcome, Elizabeth (Conte) Torphy. Hope you hear back soon and sell your script!
