Screenwriting : A Small Writing Experiment Where We Write Scenes Together by Fabrizio Fracassi

Hi Everyone,

I’m Fabrizio. I’m reaching out to the community with a writing experiment I’m running.

I setup a free, online writing space where a handful of people come together for up to 45 minutes to read a short, unfinished screenplay scene (1-2 pages), then take on a role, and continue the scene together through dialogue. Each session is private, time-limited, and exists only for the people in the room.

People who try it tend to enjoy that it’s playful, low-stakes, and motivating. For some, it’s also a break from blank pages, perfectionism and isolation.

I believe such a space can also have genuine emotional and creative value. It invites people to explore different scenarios with others, to practice imagination, empathy, and creative interpretation in a safe space. The insights and experiences people gain then become part of their toolkit for navigating the world.

The current scene that serves as a starting point is called “Valeria’s Call” and was written by me. The scene is about a young debt collector confronting the human cost of her work during a call with an elderly woman who cannot afford to pay. I’d also like to invite writers to contribute short scenes of their own, and let them experience how others inhabit their characters.
