Hey folks--new here. I work a corporate W2 (as an editor) and write/direct outside of that. But I'm bored. I have a multi-year project in the works that I can't rush, so I thought I'd reach out here and see if anyone is looking for an editor. I'm particularly interested in dark, odd, psychological stuff. Yorgos Lanthimos, Ari Aster, David Lowry, you get the idea. I'm also in the doc space, so if you like deep, existential, psychological, halfway spiritual stuff, I don't discriminate based on medium.
My short doc Arepas En Bici just played at DOC NYC and just before that SFFILM, and my short fiction Wesley Loses His P*nis had a good festival run before that, primarily in the midnight category, for obvious reasons.
Anyway, if you're a director looking for a potential editor--or you're a senior editor looking for another editor for the ol' roster, please do get in touch.
And screenwriters, if you have similar taste let's also get in touch. Just for fun :-)
Hey, Brennan McGee. I’m a Stage 32 Lounge Moderator. I wanted to let you know I moved your posts from the Filmmaking/Directing Lounge, Post-Production Lounge, Producing Lounge, and Screenwriting Lounge to the Your Stage Lounge because you're introducing yourself, your posts are promotion, and the ways to connect with other members in the discipline Lounges are making helpful/educational posts and commenting on other people’s posts.
I would've moved one of your posts to the Introduce Yourself Lounge since you're introducing yourself in it, but you already posted the same thing in the Introduce Yourself Lounge.
Stage 32 doesn't want members posting the same thing in different discipline Lounges on the same day because it can clog up the Lounges and other members’ posts won’t be seen. If you want to put a post in two discipline Lounges on the same day, change one of the posts significantly. Or you can put one post in a Lounge one day and put the same post in another Lounge on a different day.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Sounds great Maurice thank you! I figured I violated some rules haha, thanks for sorting me out
You're welcome, Brennan McGee. Arepas En Bici looks incredible! You could post the trailer on your profile if you like. You can add it by moving your mouse over "Profile" on the bar near the top of Stage 32's home page and click "Video/Audio." You can also post the trailer by moving your mouse over "Browse" on the same bar and clicking "Video."
