Developing a Limited Psychological Thriller Series: ANNA

Developing a Limited Psychological Thriller Series:

ANNA — When a Perfect Family Celebration Hides a Truth That Shatters Everything

We are currently developing an original limited psychological thriller series titled ANNA.

The story begins at what appears to be a perfect family celebration — elegant, warm, and full of smiles.

But behind the champagne glasses and polished faces, a hidden truth is about to surface.

A single discovery will slowly unravel Anna’s life, her marriage, and everything she believed about the people closest to her.

This is a character-driven series about:

• Emotional betrayal

• The quiet collapse of trust

• And the moment a woman realizes her entire reality was built on a lie

We are in early development and beginning to introduce this story world to the creative community.

Looking forward to connecting with writers, directors, and producers who are drawn to psychological drama and intimate, high-tension storytelling.

Thank you Stage 32 for creating a space where original story worlds can be shared and developed.

We’re excited to connect with writers, directors, producers, and collaborators who are passionate about psychological thrillers and character-driven drama.

Happy to exchange thoughts, feedback, and creative energy.

I am a screenwriter. I come from a rather toxic family and know how to relate to that element of tension, betrayal, and deep suspicion one may have towards the people they share the same genes with. sounds very interesting to me.

Sara Alshahri

Hi Al, thank you for sharing that so openly.

Family dynamics can be some of the most emotionally complex and psychologically rich territory to explore in storytelling. That mix of love, tension, loyalty, and suspicion often creates the most powerful character-driven drama.

It would be great to exchange perspectives sometime.

Warmly,

Sara
