Your Stage : The Film Making Saga by Samuel Chambers

The Film Making Saga

Entry 056

Building something from nothing is violent work.

The foundation is the hardest part—because everyone still insists on seeing you through old, dead lenses.

The slacker.

The loser.

Worthless.

Rude.

Unforgiving.

A problem.

Someone who can’t get it right.

A waste of time.

They don’t just say it. They brand you with it.

Those words follow you into sleep and sit with you when you wake up. You act like you don’t hear them, don’t feel them—but they’re there. Always. Pressing. Testing. Waiting for you to quit.

And still—you show up.

Day after day, you drag yourself back to the site while everyone else waits for the collapse. They think success is supposed to arrive clean, instant, obvious. You know better. You’re pouring concrete in the dark while they judge the blueprint.

This work breaks you in ways comfort never could.

You’re still in the cave, yeah—but you saw the light first. You smelled the future before anyone believed it existed. And every step forward, there’s a voice telling you to turn around. Telling you it’s pointless. Telling you you are.

You ignore it—and build anyway.

It’s cold.

It’s repetitive.

It’s humiliating to stare at something unfinished while people pretend it confirms everything they thought about you.

But this is the beginning. And beginnings are ugly. Unknown. Unrespected.

Just like you were.

So you stop asking for permission. You stop waiting for validation. All you ask for now is the strength to keep moving forward—toward your finish line, not theirs. Your rules. Your path. Your entrance into places they never imagined you’d reach.

The work is brutal. It’s thankless. It’s exhausting.

And that’s exactly why it has your name on it.

Because if someone’s going to do it—

it’s you.

Every day.

No matter who doubts it.
