I wrote, produced and directed my first short 34-minute film Bully Girls for 2500 using volunteer actors. We paid DP and sound crew. Best advice: Buy Final Draft software and LEARN to use it. Buy the book How to produce an indie film for less than 3000 dollars before paying ANYONE else to do that if you can afford it. Hands on training is the ONLY way to become a writer. It does not happen overnight or by wishing it.
