Introduce Yourself : Artist/Author/Animator/Newbie Script Writer by Heather Mezzacappa

Heather Mezzacappa

Artist/Author/Animator/Newbie Script Writer

Hi! I am a fine artist turned graphic designer turned children's book author and illustrator! I created two stop motion animations based on two of my original stories, which gave me a taste for filmmaking. I recently finished a collection of YA horror/fantasy/sci-fi stories called Thirteen Twisted Tales, and one of those stories I have decided to try to write a movie script for. Ready to dive in to yet another new world. :)

HI Heather, Are you familiar with Apple Pages? I would like to discuss with you what I am working on and perhaps I can share with you some screenwriting suggestions.

Heather Mezzacappa

Hi, Paulette! I've never used Apple Pages. I'd love to hear about what you're working on and would LOVE some screenwriting suggestions.

Heather Mezzacappa

Hi, Maurice! My animations are called The Dandy and Ganth. They are based on two characters and stories I wrote that are part of a collection of eight storiesI call Curious Creatures and Fairy Tales. The animations can be viewed on YouTube, and I have them listed on IMDB as well. They've each been featured in a few film festivals, and they will both be shown this Friday as part of a film festival in New London, CT, not far from where I live!

The Dandy and Ganth and Curious Creatures and Fairy Tales sound interesting, Heather Mezzacappa! Congratulations on them being featured in a few film festivals and showing at the festival in New London soon! What's your YouTube channel?

Heather Mezzacappa

Thank you, Maurice Vaughn! This is my channel. Much of it is crafting how-to videos I made a VERY long time ago plus my one TV appearance on HGTV.
