Hello everyone! I'm a screenwriter in the action/thriller space as well as family drama across different cultures and periods. Outside of writing I dabble in sketch, sculpture, and the impossible art of learning family recipes.
I'd love to get to know more of the creators here on Stage32 and talk favorite media, inspirations, and stories (firsthand or overheard) that make us excited about writing.

Thank you so much and Happy New Year to you too! I also love action movies from the 70s through the 90s. Definitely fascinated by horror but haven't written anything yet. Actually, the friend that inspired me to become a screenwriter loves campy horror. Tons of Sam Raimi. What are some of your favorites?

You're welcome, Andrés Yang. I'm not sure if I've seen any Action movies from the 70s. I'll have to check them out. Sam Raimi is an incredible director! Some of my favorite Horror movies are Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives, The Thing, Aliens, and Child's Play.

Dirty Harry's a classic with some great stunts. I'm originally from the Bay Area so it's also a cool little time machine at least for me. It's more of a martial arts movie than straight action but Drunken Master is a real favorite. Loved Aliens! Classic James Cameron's a huge influence for sure. I've been telling myself I'd watch The Thing for the longest time. Now I've really got to. Thanks for the rec's, they're definitely going on my list.

Hi! and welcome Andrés Yang From Chicago, now in LA. I've been writing (specs) since 2023 with a background and two degrees in art/digital media. So, technically, I've been storytelling for years lol but as far as sitting down and writing a full script, 2023. My work sits in the psychological thriller and sci-fi space, where I can really dig into societal norms, mental health, and spirituality. Good luck!

Thank you so much, Ryan! I have some friends that also veer toward science fiction. Lots of fascinating avenues into what it means to be human. Would love to dive deeper into the genre myself!
