I don't know about you, over the past few days while working on a horror script, I've felt stuck on getting the pages done. Currently it stands at 71 pages and I just have to put in a few more scenes to get it to the sweet spot of 85. I know that sounds a bit short, but I feel it would be a good place for a first draft, but once I get there I can reevaluate and figure out what's missing.
So writers, let me know what you're currently faced with. Let's help each other out.

Congratulations on getting to page 71, David Schwartz! I'm rewriting a Horror Action feature script, and I realized I need to figure out more things about the story world. I'll have to do more rewrites, but it's worth it. Figuring out more things about the story world might help you get unstuck.

I struggle with organization due to my mental illness and focus on appropriate webinars because I’m a terrible note taker and can’t afford the note taking app otter at this time. I started screenwriting in 2016 and still haven’t finished that script because I was surrounded by know it alls who didn’t bother telling me that I need to take a screenwriting class. I took a screenwriting class last year with a wonderful teacher who has my best interest in mind and because of him I finally finished my first Disney crossover which I plan to use as a sample in my portfolio. So I guess without appropriate structure and a mentor in the game who’s really knowledgeable I’m basically screwed.

Hi, Diana Levin. Have you looked for a free note taking app? And Stage 32 has a lot of free Screenwriting Blogs (www.stage32.com/blog/tags/screenwriting-25).

I get what you mean, Maurice. This is more of a Monster in the House type of film, so obviously the rules should be clear and, of course, world-building too. I feel like I've established the character's relationship and shown a glimpse of it. The only thing now is to figure out how they're going to get out of this mess.

Cool, David Schwartz. My script is a Keep the Monsters out the House type film. Something that might help is outlining/writing different ways for your characters to get out of the mess and pick the best one. And you could save the unused ways for future scripts. You could also go back and set up something in Act 1 or Act 2 that'll get them out of the mess.

Right now my biggest challenge is recovering from Miami to Vancouver jet lag (it seriously shouldn’t be pwning me this hard, but here we are), so I’m too tired to sit down and write even though I want to. Other than that, I’m also figuring out how I want to turn previous novel manuscripts into screenplays as well as how to streamline my more complex ideas. I’m just glad I pulled myself out of my doomer mood finally ^^; that wasn’t fun.

Good for you, Banafsheh, for moving forward into the Light of Creativity. No doubt this will be an inspiration to many other writers in these turbulent times. Wishing you all good fortune with all your projects.

I'm writing a thriller/action/Mystery genre book. Focusing on real world modern weapons against kaiju A kaiju is a Japanese term that literally translates to "strange beast". In modern pop culture, it refers to a specific genre of film and the giant monsters.
The name of my book is The Great Kaiju War. I have around 5 chapters in it with 36 pages. Right now I'm stuck in a study phase because I wanted to expand the universe within the book by spreading the area affected by the kaiju to a global scale and wanting to incorporate other countries military ( weapons, vehicle, skills) into the book.
Thank you,
Timothy Miller

Seems to be a popular genre/style these days. Good luck to you, Timothy.
