Hello everyone, I hope you’re doing well, I have a question. In a professional script, do we have to put Act (1,2 or 3) and the title of the scene?? Or that’s not necessary?? For example, look at this picture, this a script I worked on (I know Batman is an IP character, I used this picture as reference to explain my question). Do you have a background in the theatre? Because if you are familiar with writing plays, then your question is logical.
In screenplays one doesn't write where the transition to one act to the next one occurs. If the readers don't feel the transition at the approximately correct page, then you have a problem as a writer. Instead you write in such a way that the readers feel there is a transition from Act 1 to Act to around page 28, a mid point in the middle of the script and a transition from Act 2 to Act 3 around 18 pages from the end.
