Your Stage : Petra Was the Destination. Truth Was the Price. by Daniel Chivu

Petra Was the Destination. Truth Was the Price.

They didn’t arrive in Petra by chance.

They fought for it. They endured for it. They believed in it.

This image captures the moment my protagonists leave the city they’ve worked so hard to reach—not because it fell, but because it revealed too much. Petra offered no safety or resolution. It offered origins. And with it, a truth that had been deliberately hidden.

What they discover there reshapes everything they thought they were—their connections, their purpose, their sense of belonging. The city remains behind them, unmoving. The people who leave are irreparably changed.

This is a dark fantasy for adults, driven by revelation rather than destruction.

A story of identity discovered too late, loyalties fractured by knowledge, and the silent violence of truths that cannot be unlearned.

Conceived as a long, character-driven story, where the most powerful turning points are not battles or catastrophes - but moments of understanding that force characters to choose who they will become next.

Sometimes the journey doesn't end when you get there.

It ends when you finally know why you should never have gotten there.

You can put promotion in a discipline Lounge (Screenwriting Lounge, Producing Lounge, Filmmaking/Directing Lounge, etc.) if your post starts a conversation that’s helpful or educational to the community, like giving advice or asking a question.
