Hi everyone! I’m Shardá, a Chicago-based screenwriter developing projects across drama, horror, sci-fi, and romantic comedy—all grounded in strong character work, emotional truth, and high-concept storytelling.
My current slate includes Before After (limited series – franchisable), Bright (feature franchise – Bright 1.0 and Bright II: Misunderstood), JR. (elevated psychological horror limited series – franchisable), and Wherever the Wind Takes Me (ensemble drama), with additional projects in development.
I’m currently open to representation (manager and agent) and am excited to connect with producers, executives, and fellow creatives who are drawn to bold, emotionally resonant stories and meaningful collaboration.
I’m also learning the industry—from pitching through development—and exploring the best way to share my work without having to dilute what makes these stories unique and human.
Looking forward to being part of the Stage 32 community.

Welcome, Sharda Crawford — great to have you here.
That’s an impressive and well-rounded slate, and it’s clear you’re building with intention across genres while keeping character and emotional truth front and center. The fact that several of these projects are designed with limited series and franchise potential shows strong development thinking.
Stage 32 is a good space to refine pitching, connect with reps, and exchange insight with other creatives navigating the same path. Wishing you the best as you grow the slate and find representation that truly aligns with your voice.
