Hello, this is more of a re-introduction as it's been a while. I'm Ritchie, a writer from the U.K, I started writing back in 2008, I took a break in 2015 when my son was born, then I started running an online radio station (I have loads of surreal stories from that time), from there I got diagnosed with a stage 2 mxyoid Lipsarcoma in my thigh in 2020, it was during recovery I rediscovered my love of writing. I started again in 2023 with my screenplay FML (based around some of my experience and feelings around the time of figuring out who I really was after cancer) since then I've written about fifteen more screenplays which are in some state of play or another.
Last year I made the ISA Networks development slate, their top 25 screenwriters to watch in 2026, on here I participated in about 34 pitch sessions and got 15 screenplay requests back and two meeting requests with those. (The best pitching advice I could give is pitch it as if you're pitching a friend who hates movie's or shows the best show ever, if you can convince that friend, you can convince an exec) and Since 2023 I have now close to thirty accolades.
I love writing, I love telling stories. I've loved movies since I watched my first.
On the personal level - writing is also a great outlet for me, as socially I've become a little awkward since the cancer as my teeth got destroyed due to the medication I was given and then I found out I was alergic to dentures. But I am learning everyday that life goes on and you take each step as it comes right! :) and so here I am getting ready for general meetings.
This year I have a pilot "Anghells" in production independently here in the U.K and I would love to expand upon that and get more projects into the next step.
I love meeting new people, movies and videogames ( I have currently been grinding Fallout 76 whilst working on a new idea for my next screenplay)

Hey Maurice Vaughan I am thank you nice and chilled before back at it tomorrow. Oh yeah - I watched the fallout series absolutely loved it and can't wait for the next season. I just got my better-half into watching Starfleet Academy, from there we're now also watching Discovery as she has never watched Star Trek. She was the same with Star Wars until we started dating 15 years ago.
Thank you for the congratulations. It's slowly coming together, it's a mockumentary about a Saint, the Second Coming and a demon living in modern times.

I need to check out Starfleet Academy. I'm not sure if I've seen Discovery. I've seen all the live-action Star Wars movies.
