LOL.
Little late Sunday humor. My name is Jack Binder as written on the tin as they say in BAFTA land. Thirty years of filmmaking in the trenches, on the lot at Disney, Columbia Pictures, HBO family for years and more.
As a producer, executive producer, line producer, DGA Unit Production Manager, financier and investor, I wear many hats. I've been fortunate to have worked with magnanimous and kind stars including Ethan Hawke, Adam Sandler, Kevin Costner, Ben Affleck, John Cleese, Amanda Seyfried, Keri Russell, and many more.
I've worked hard to keep my projects to a high calibre, often at personal expense of doing more lucrative commercial projects, without regret. Often choosing not what to work on is a challenge for a long term view.
I created www.FilmBudget.com Worldwide after the Major Studios made me do countless iterations of my budgets agonizingly to obtain a greenlight. Any effort they could throw in my way to delay a "go picture" it seemed was never to small, minute, nor ridiculous. Likewise, fellow filmmakers asked if I'd create budgets for their pictures as I was managing in the end to get funded. So I relaunched in the '08 financial crisis offering film budgeting and scheduling, film finance business plans, film tax credit analysis, producer consulting and both financial and creative pitch decks.
I continue producing extensively with two films in advanced stage development, one in the U.S. and one in Australia. As a Moderator in the Finance/Crowd Funding section I hope to contribute to the conversation.

Really appreciated your post especially your perspective on the realities behind getting to “go picture.” The budgeting and iteration side of filmmaking is something many creatives underestimate.
I’m developing a contained psychological mystery designed for disciplined budgeting and strong tax-incentive positioning. I’m currently refining the packaging strategy and would value knowing what kinds of projects you’re most interested in consulting on or producing at this stage.
