Introduce Yourself : My work by Asia Almerico

Asia Almerico

My work

As a screenwriter, much of my creative journey has been shaped by adaptation.

Over the past few years, I’ve developed several feature film and TV pilot screenplays inspired by novels that deeply moved me. Rather than copying the source material, my approach has always been to reinterpret the emotional core of the story and translate it into cinematic language — structure, pacing, visual storytelling, and character arcs designed specifically for the screen.

Through this process, I’ve strengthened my ability to:

• Transform rich literary worlds into structured screen narratives

• Build character-driven arcs rooted in internal conflict and resilience

• Balance emotional depth with market-conscious pacing

• Reimagine themes in ways that feel both respectful and original

I’m particularly drawn to fantasy, dystopian, and emotionally intense stories where vulnerability and strength coexist. My writing often explores redemption, identity, moral ambiguity, and the quiet power of transformation.

At the same time, I continue developing original concepts that reflect my voice and long-term vision in the industry.

My goal is to collaborate with directors, producers, and creatives who believe in character-first storytelling and emotionally resonant cinema.

Always open to meaningful industry connections and creative conversations.
