Writer/Producer recently relocated from Los Angeles to Chicago after 15+ years working in television production. I’m looking to start (or help start) a small, professional Chicago-based writers workshop focused on serious script development and industry-level feedback.
The goal is to build a dedicated group of film, television, and narrative storytellers who are actively developing material and interested in giving and receiving thoughtful, constructive notes in a collaborative environment.
This workshop will focus on reading material and preparing feedback in advance. Writers will submit pages ahead of each meeting so members can provide meaningful feedback during the session. Depending on the amount of material, some sessions may run longer or focus on fewer submissions.
The group will be intentionally small to keep discussions focused and productive, and to allow everyone to gain real insight into each other’s work.
