Festival Single - A script with Lionsgate Interest but I need help

My filmscript Festival Single (been described as 'The British Hangover') got to the last 55 of the 2024 British Film Festival; Lionsgate has given positive feedback and said to 'circle back' to them when I can get cast attached. Problem is, it is the first thing I have written, I have no knowledge or experience of the industry. Producers/directors wont accept scripts without agents and agents usually say they wont get involved because a producer/director has not attached. Seems a chicken and egg scenario for what I have been told is a script that is 'good to go'. Est budget circa $10M. Any advice appreciated as how to progress.

Contact an Agent.

Believe me, I've tried more than a few; none bar 1 replied; and the one that did said they had no bandwidth for anyone.

Do some no-budget filming. That will show both agents and producers that you can create, not only put words on paper. The simplest alternative is that you join your local group with no-budget filmmakers. If they like you, they may film some short script you have written, which means that you have something to show.
