Hi everyone—I'm Jessica Martin (also known as Diana / @blackmarketbaby on TikTok).

I’m a Chicago-based writer and storyteller building a true-story project called Black Market Baby—a memoir/limited series based on my life.

I was privately adopted as an infant and later reunited with my birth mother, who had ties to organized crime, witness protection, mental illness, and a history of selling her own children. Her life—and mine—sit at the intersection of true crime, trauma, and generational survival.

Now, I’m developing this into a book and scripted series that blends past and present timelines: her chaos, and the life I built in spite of it.

I’ve been growing an audience around this story on TikTok (~50K+), where I share pieces of the narrative, and I’m actively looking to connect with:
