Storytelling and screenwriting for me are more than just facts and stories to be told and demonstrated to audiences but it’s like building a mesmerizing narrative with my spirit and passion which makes any script feel so real and meaningful.
Hey Leonardo, nice to meet you too, actually I studied couple of courses one concerning the foundation and the second was advanced with 2 well known persons in the industry in my country and I took certificates
Hi Mahira Magdy, welcome to Stage 32! I’m Ashley, Head of Community here on the platform. It’s great to meet you, and I love how you describe storytelling. As you continue developing your voice, I’d encourage you to spend time in the Screenwriting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting). It’s a great space to share your perspective, join conversations, and connect with other writers who are just as passionate about crafting meaningful stories.
Are you currently working on anything that you’re especially excited about right now?
Ashley Renée Smith Hey Ashley, thank you so much. Yes, I am currently working on a full movie based on true story and it’s not the first time to write a script. Actually, I started to notice my passion for writing in general 10 years ago but it was just a hobby and the problem is, I can’t find any opportunities to execute any project, because I have no connections with producers, filmmakers…etc.
Hey Mahira Magdy - one thing you can do is to add more information to your profile. Adding loglines is a huge help. Executives peruse the lounges all the time and when they see someone in the comments that catches their eye, they go check out their profile. Feel free to visit mine to see how much information you can add to your profile. There are a ton of options!
Mahira Magdy, I’m really glad you shared this, and it makes total sense where you’re coming from. Having the passion and the project is such a huge step, but not having connections can feel like the biggest barrier.
This is exactly where Stage 32 can help you.
I highly recommend reaching out to our Success Team at Success@Stage32.com. Tell them about your script, that it’s based on a true story, your goals, and the fact that you’re looking to connect with producers and filmmakers. They specialize in guiding members like you toward the right resources and next steps based on where you are in your journey.
Also, keep doing what you’re already doing here, showing up, sharing, and engaging. That’s how connections start forming naturally over time.

Interesting way to frame it — especially the idea of storytelling as something built rather than just told.
Out of curiosity, how much of that process for you sits in the structure underneath versus the writing itself?
I’ve found that often what makes something feel “real” isn’t just the voice or emotion, but how the internal logic holds over time.

You can also update your profile with genre preferences. Here's a link on how to do that: https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting/Our-executives-are-waiting-...
Knowing how to navigate Stage 32 and get the most out of it will also help: https://www.stage32.com/blog/how-to-successfully-navigate-the-stage-32-p...
I would focus on your profile first and then stay active in the lounges. Meet as many people as you can and participate in the AMAs (Ask Me Anything).
And if you ever need any guidance on your career, e-mail: success@stage32.com and let them know what you're working on and ask how they can help.
