Hello everyone, and thank you for your attention.
I’m writing to you from Florence, Italy. I’m a healthcare worker, and for the past four years or so I’ve been studying screenwriting in my spare time. I’d like to share a few thoughts with you:
- I’ve tried using AI in my development work, but even though my account is trained in various functions, I felt it was best to retain full control of the creative process, leaving the AI to handle only historical research, syntax, translation and graphics for mood boards and trailers. Undoubtedly, in a few years’ time, AI will offer undeniable advantages in video generation compared to traditional production, but given the current state of technology, it is still necessary to combine AI with reality.
- The screenwriter’s four 'C': competence, communication, community, coincidences. I have reached a mature stage in terms of competence, although clearly we always need further training; I am now entering the communication phase, selling the screenplay, and in this regard Stage32 is a useful tool, along with the FreeFilmFreeway website. I need to create a community of users, both online and in person, to make myself known, and I have recently registered the website www.scripthub.altervista.org (still to be filled with content). Between 2026 and 2027, I hope to reap the rewards and have a bit of luck – that is, to sign my first contract.
- - I have a comedy screenplay ready for producers, written in collaboration with an Italian screenwriter; I am in the final stages of a historical drama screenplay; I am working on the opening scenes of a sci-fi western screenplay in collaboration with an Italian-English screenwriter; I am currently drafting the series bible for two stories: one is a romance, in collaboration with a Tunisian screenwriter, and a family-drama set in the world of fashion, in collaboration with an Italian screenwriter. I am currently working on the initial concept for a dramatic love story in the style of Romeo and Juliet, set in Florence and featuring characters from the Divine Comedy, set between the worlds of the living and the dead.

Hey Emanuele Vergari great to hear from you! I love a good laugh, what's your comedy screenplay about?

Hi, thank you for listening. This comedy explores the relationships between four friends and a girl transitioning into adulthood. Forced into a collective sense of responsibility, they strengthen their connection and finally grow up.
it’s great to have you hear Emanuele. I also love that you are drying on your location in Italy to Influence some of your script writing. I completely agree with you on AI. A computer is never going to replace human emotions poured into a story. Your story about the four friends and the girl transitioning to adulthood sounds really interesting. Is that influenced by friendships or relationship relationships that you’ve had in your life?

Hi Amanda, thanks for your interest. The play has some autobiographical references; in particular, after writing it, I realized that the personalities of the four friends represent personal traits that I unconsciously 'exploded' out of myself, creating those characters involved in the relationship with their female friend.

Hi Emanuele Vergari! Balancing healthcare work with screenwriting on the side takes real discipline. The four C's is a smart framework. Competence, communication, community, coincidences. That last one is honest. A sci fi western sounds wild in the best way. What's the comedy screenplay about and who's the ideal lead actor for it?
