Back in February I entered a screenplay (Cassi & The Tattered Book) in a film festival. I’ve done this a few times over the years, and I occasionally get past the first gatekeeper. You can imagine my surprise, shock actually, when I was just notified that I’d won Best Screenplay for the European International Film Festival being held in Madrid. At first I thought there’d been a mistake because they referred to me as a filmmaker… so I went to the website and saw my name on their list for the film festival! It’s amazing how God works. Here I am, already in Europe when the festival will take place (May29-31), so all we have to do is fly from Lisbon to Madrid for the weekend. Honestly, I still find it hard to believe.
I had Holmes Entertainment pick it up last fall, so I imagine this will help the investing phase rather nicely! :)
