the Giant Killer Script Ch 8 Pg 11 & 12 review

Ch8 Pg 11

Unable to hold in his emotions any longer, Garna throws his head back and lets out an earth-shattering roar of frustration and defeat. He slams his fist into the ground, causing the earth to shake beneath them. His voice reverberates through the landscape, as if his rage could shake the very mountains.

Garna (shouting): "I'll make you pay for this!”

The page opens with a wide view of the landscape, showing the tailor walking calmly ahead of Garna, who is furiously chasing him. Garerit leads Garna toward a seemingly innocent part of the ground, with thick trees and foliage surrounding the area. The path is narrow, with the edges obscured, hiding the pit trap from view. Garna is hot on the tailor's heels, his massive fists slamming into the ground as he charges. His anger is clouding his judgment, making him reckless.

Garerit (calmly, looking over his shoulder): "Come on, Garna. Let's see if you can catch me.”

Close-up of Garna's face, twisted with rage. His eyes are wide with fury, focused solely on the tailor, who seems so small in comparison. His breath is heavy, and his posture is threatening as he sprints toward the tailor, completely unaware of the trap ahead.

Garna (growling): "I'll crush you for what you've done!”

Garna Stepping Forward, the Ground Giving Way Beneath Him. As Garna takes another step, the ground beneath him suddenly crumbles. His eyes widen in shock as he realizes too late that he has stepped onto a hidden pit covered with branches and leaves.

SFX: CRACK! SNAP!

GARNA: (shouting) What in—?!

Garna's face, filled with shock and disbelief as he plummets downward. His eyes are wide, and his mouth is open in a silent scream. The moment is brief, but Garna's realization that he has been outwitted is clear. His eyes show a flicker of fear and regret.

Garna (thinking): "No! This can't be how it ends!”

Garna plummets into the deep pit, his arms flailing wildly. The firewood scatters in the air as he yells in panic. The walls of the pit are steep and lined with roots and dirt, making it clear that climbing out won't be easy.

SFX: THUD!

Ch8 Pg 12

Garerit steps aside, and as Garna charges forward, the ground beneath the giant suddenly gives way. The pit trap is revealed, an enormous, deep hole, surrounded by sharpened stakes at the bottom. The pit is large enough to swallow Garna whole, and there is no way for the giant to stop himself from falling in. Garna's eyes widen in surprise as he realizes too late that he has been lured into a trap.

Garerit (smirking, looking back): "You should've learned to control your rage, Garna.”

Garna's body starts to fall into the pit, his legs flailing as he loses his balance. His hands reach out to grab onto something, anything, to stop his fall, but there is nothing within reach. The sheer size and weight of the giant make his fall seem almost slow, yet inevitable. The words are almost taunting as the giant falls, his body becoming a blur of motion.

Garerit (off-panel): "Goodbye, Garna.”

Garna crashes into the bottom of the pit with a massive impact, the ground shaking as his large body slams into the sharp stakes. The stakes pierce through his flesh, and there is a brief moment of silence before a thunderous crash reverberates through the air. The giant's massive form is sprawled across the bottom of the pit. (thud!)Garerit stands at the edge of the pit, looking down at Garna's fallen form with a calm, almost indifferent expression. The tailor's voice is calm, a contrast to the chaos unfolding below.

SFX: THUD! (THOM!)

Garerit (to himself, quietly): "One less giant to deal with.”

The tailor, turning away from the pit and walking calmly toward the horizon. The giant is defeated, and the tailor is already focused on his next task. The calmness of Garerit's departure contrasts with the brutal end of Garna, signaling that the tailor has outsmarted yet another threat.

Gareirt (thinking): "The castle's fall was just the beginning. The real work is ahead.”

The page opens with a wide view of the dam, nestled between two large hills. The dam appears deceptively simple, made primarily of clay and large tree logs. There's a sense of age to it, with some parts of the structure looking unstable or weathered by time. The group consisting of Garerit, a few knights, and some of the villagers approaches the dam from a distance, their expressions filled with curiosity and determination.

Gareirt (looking toward the dam): "So this is the famed dam that's been holding up the water supply.”

One of the knights (with concern): "It looks flimsy. Do you think it's been weakened by the giants?”

A close-up shot focuses on the dam's rough structure: the uneven layers of clay mixed with large, heavy logs. The clay appears cracked and brittle in places, and the logs are arranged haphazardly, creating an impression of a quickly constructed, makeshift barrier. The water behind the dam can be seen slowly rising, adding a sense of urgency to the situation.

Garerit (analyzing the dam): "It's not much of a dam. This was done hastily, not with long-term stability in mind.”

One of the villagers (nodding): "The giants were just supposed to guard it. They didn't care how it was built.”
