Introducing the mixed bag that is Lauren Hackney

Hello, Stage 32, and happy introduce-yourself weekend.

I'm from Australia so thanks to the wonderful time zone - I load my post early.

I like bouncing around on this platform offering both solicited and unsolicited advice, I enjoy writing blog pieces and encouraging this community to dream ridiculously big.

I currently write for a small animation company in Brisbane (Little Boat Media) creating shorts for children's content, I'm the content manager for Inspiring Minds Magazine and I assist in marketing and editing for DaisyLane Publishing. I also host my own YouTube channel where I get to speak to creatives about their books AND I have published books of my own.

Nice to meet everyone both new and existing - let's see where all these wonderful paths can take us!

Hi Lauren,

Great to meet you and happy Introduce Yourself Weekend!

It sounds like you’re involved in a fascinating mix of creative work across animation, publishing, content creation, and writing. I especially love your comment about encouraging people to dream ridiculously big — that’s something many creatives need to hear.

Wishing you continued success with all your projects, and I look forward to seeing more of your posts around Stage 32.

Best,

Charmane

It's great to see someone wearing so many creative hats and still finding time to offer advice on the platform, because that generosity is what keeps the community alive. What's the most unexpected connection you've made through your YouTube channel or the magazine that opened a door you didn't see coming?

Hello, Lauren Hackney

Happy IYW to you!

I truly love your concepts, and I always enjoy seeing your images and visuals. I also love your blogs.

Thank you so much for your passion in helping us by sharing all the great things you’ve learned along the way.

I’m looking forward to seeing you achieve all your dreams.

Samantha Rivera the most unexpected connection I've made is between the publishers who ask me to feature their authors and the film crews they work with to adapt novels. This my friends is my next strategic move to work closely with both. Thanks for asking and thank you for being so supportive :)

@meriem - I'm looking forward to seeing where this journey takes both of us. Thank you for being in my corner :) I appreciate you supporting my blogs etc :)
