Happy IYW~

Hello, everyone~ I'm Banafsheh, also known as Bana. Still technically new at screenwriting, I'm also an unpublished novelist and artist (non-digital). I specialise in strange and wonderful stories for strange and wonderful people, surrealism and drama are what I'm best at. I also serve as moderator for the Animation and Transmedia lounges.

I'm currently working on four projects with several more currently on hiatus. I'm heavily influenced by anime and manga, my favourites being Revolutionary Girl Utena and Sailor Moon. I'm also hilariously behind on pop culture which I'm slowly remedying.

Nice to meet you~

Darrell A Pennington

Haha Banafsheh Esmailzadeh , what year do you consider yourself currently visiting culturally speaking. I was just having this conversation with my college roommates, I can tell when I stopped keeping up with culture by reviewing my playlists on Spotify. Too boring to explain how but I was able to determine that I basically stopped keeping up around 2002 hahaha.

Banafsheh Esmailzadeh

Lol honestly that's a very good question Darrell A Pennington , I'm rather enjoying the 60s to the 80s, mentally I haven't entirely moved on from the 90s/2000s xD but I'm definitely an old soul as well so I love older things in general.

Meriem Bouziani

Wow, that’s so good! Four projects at once is no small deal.

Keep going. I’m truly looking forward to watching your work on the big screen one day.

Happy IYW to you!

Banafsheh Esmailzadeh

Thanks so much Meriem Bouziani, I’ll do my best~ so far I’m working on all four in tiny doses but Metal Garden’s draft is almost finished. I’m doing a premature round of edits to clean up fluff which should help the story flow better towards the ending :3

Meriem Bouziani

Yes, perfect. Do it the best way you can—may it earn another Double Recommend badge. Banafsheh Esmailzadeh

Elle Bolan

Hey there Bana! Happy IYW! I hope you've been resting. You worked yourself like crazy there at the end of last year and the start of this one. How are you doing?

Banafsheh Esmailzadeh

Thanks so much Meriem Bouziani, I'll definitely try to get another one~

Banafsheh Esmailzadeh

Hey Elle Bolan, thanks so much~ I guess I have been working like crazy lol but don't worry, I have been resting as well. I'm doing all right, working out Metal Garden's little weeds as it were. How are you?

Phil Bridge

Hi Bana! Great to meet you.!

Banafsheh Esmailzadeh

Great to meet you too, Phil Bridge! How’s it going?

Phil Bridge

Banafsheh Esmailzadeh it's going well thank you. Early starts to get writing and creative time in before work on weekdays, it's slowly getting there. Just finished my first tv series adaptation script of the first book in my middle-grade children's fantasy series 'The Jessica Fortune Series' so feeling a bit proud of myself! Now looking to attract Producers who might be interested in helping put this in front of audiences. I don't know about you, but writing lifts my soul in a way nothing else ever could. I used to write adult thriller fiction, but got tired of killing people, I also wrote a series of The Walking Dead which, if you follow it, takes place after the season of 'Those Who Live', trying to get Scott Gimple to read it! How about you, how's it all going with you?

Banafsheh Esmailzadeh

That’s amazing Phil Bridge, good job on finishing your series! I’ve been trying to come out of burnout for the better part of this month, hence very slowly working on four drafts (one is technically an adaptation of my unpublished novel and closest to being completed). Right now I’m likely focusing on that one enough to cut the fluff and possibly rewrite existing scenes to help reach the ending better. I’m hoping it does well in coverage since it’s pretty complex and like most of what I write, doesn’t have a singular plot until the latter half. I’m also thinking I should get back to working on my comics since there’s still some inking and backgrounds to do if writing burnout persists ^^;
