After a long journey, I’m delighted to share that I have now completed Season One of my original drama series, Surviving In Babylon.
What began as a feature screenplay has gradually evolved into a completed ten-episode first season, accompanied by an updated series bible and ongoing visual development.
Set in Birmingham, England, Surviving In Babylon is a coming-of-age drama inspired by lived experiences, exploring trauma, identity, friendship, and the influence of environment.
Like many projects, it has changed considerably along the way. What started as one script became something much bigger, and reaching this milestone has been both challenging and incredibly rewarding.
I’m grateful to everyone who has offered advice, encouragement, and support throughout the process. Writing ten episodes has taught me a great deal, and I’m excited to continue developing the project and exploring the next stage of its journey.
