As writers, we all carry one scene that never truly leaves us

Not necessarily the first screenplay we wrote, but the first scene we imagined and thought:

"I have to tell this story."

For me, one of those moments came in 2020 and it was seeing in my mind a young woman on her knees surrounded by pills and a crumpled tear-stained letter. From this came my 21 LETTERS script.
