Period dramas are having a serious moment — Death by Lightning debuted as Netflix's #1 show globally, and The Gilded Age just pulled in 5 million viewers for its season 3 finale. If you've got a historical fiction TV concept you've been wanting to develop, there's never been a better time to get it on the page. Stage 32's new 8-week lab pairs you one-on-one with producer and Netflix educator Anna Henry (AMC, HBO, Starz, Amazon Prime) to take your pilot from idea to a fully realized, industry-vetted script.
Over eight interactive Zoom sessions, you'll cover everything from finding your story engine and world-building to writing authentic period dialogue and avoiding anachronisms — plus you'll get direct one-on-one consultations with Anna to make sure your pilot is ready for the marketplace. Spots are limited, so if you've been sitting on a historical concept, this is your sign to finally write it. Check out the full details and save your spot below!

I am so excited to teach this lab once again! I actually have two historical fiction projects that I developed with Stage 32 writers I met in labs. One of them is moving forward now which is very exciting! I am really looking forward to stepping into all of your exciting worlds!
