Have you ever been part of a conversation where everyone seemed to be sharing a common experience, and quietly realized you couldn't relate? Not because you didn't want to—just because life had taken you down a different path.
Creative journeys aren't all the same. Some of us have seasons of abundance. Others have seasons where we're simply doing our best to keep creating.
Have you ever had a moment like that?
How did it shape the way you see yourself—or the creative community around you?

Yes, that happens to me quite often. Differences in the way we think, solve problems, and even our cultural backgrounds make us see things from different perspectives.

I’ve had moments like that more than once. I’ve sat in conversations where people talked about agents, productions, and writers’ rooms while I was still working a full-time job, writing late at night after everyone was asleep. At first, it made me question whether I belonged. Eventually, I realized every creative journey has its own timeline. Those experiences didn’t discourage me—they gave me stories to tell and a deeper appreciation for every small step forward. Sometimes the path that takes the longest shapes the strongest storyteller.
