Hi, For the last few years I've been a contracted screenwriter for BBC TV Drama in the UK, working on a variety of shows and developing new series. I'm also a novelist, published by Random House in the UK and various other publishers around the world. And my debut movie script is currently out with producers. From all that, you can probably tell that I love storytelling, whatever the medium.
Hey Mark, thanks for accepting :) What BBC Dramas have you worked on?
Hey Haley - good to meet you. I've been a contract writer on Doctors for ages. Did a brief stint with one of the other medical dramas and have otherwise been developing series through BBC Drama Development.
Cool! Whats your movie script about? Ha, sorry, I'm completely nosey!

Excuse me for being nosey as well Mark, but how did you get the gig? I've been really contemplating about sending some of my work overseas, (I live in Atlanta) but I don't have the slightest idea where to begin (outside of a few blog connects)! I'd love to work on some shows in the UK. It's something I've been feeling for quite some time now.
Hi Rashaad - The BBC does use non-UK-based writers. The best way to get in is by sending a spec script via the BBC Writers Room - http://www.bbc.co.uk/writersroom/ . There's also lots of information on there that any writer would find useful.
Hi mark, interested to know what future projects you are working on for the bbc, im hoping to send them a script for a feature that im working on
Hi Sean- I write several scripts a year for one of their regular series - it's an ongoing gig. Beyond that, I pitch new series to the Drama Development Department. Recently, I've been in development with a near-future SF series.
