Some one asked me this question today... Are there any industry parties in NYC where I can go and network with producers, directors and actors? Well I was stumped... I use to always know when a good networking social event was happening but I've been so busy that I'm out of touch. Any body out there know of any good networking hot spots in NYC?

Honestly, not unless it's an established company and you get on the guest list through an employee. Otherwise, I've run into a ton of unemployed people asking each other for work and tossing around a blizzard of business cards.
LMAO .... You had me tear up with laughter. So many times your out promoting yourself to somebody else that knows no more than you. On a serious note I have met some good people in the biz and I've meet the guy that hands you a card with his contact & name written in sharpe .... While some ones original name & contact has a line drawn through it. The funny part is I wish I would have seen the card before I sat & listened to the madness. But hey I'm wiser for it.
