Silver Lining Playbook

Being a father of a bipolar boy now an adult 22.. i had to chuckle as i watched the hollywood version of mental illness...it was a nice love story..but how could a picture like that break the stigma of Bipolar or any mental illness , and then to see Robert De Nero(love him) and the others get choked up..on some TV show. this is like a made for TV movie on lifetime ....man i've been crying for 15 years dealing with Bipolar one of my months is like a year in hell..... this is a not even( bipolar lite).its not a mental illness story..its a guy who lost it after he caught his wife..and blames it on undiagnosed bipolar..many people over the years used the insanity defense also for their actions. ..this is a lame hollywood attempt to throw a bread crumb into the mental illness waters, im sure there are many better stories out there .....if you have or know someone with mental illness you will know what i mean.. what say you

yes it is depressing..but some where along the way ,there has to be a break through . i can only know what it like being the father of a mentally ill child and it is hell.. i cant imagine what its like in their brains

Robert, why not write a script about it? I think that having that experience would portray more authentic picture of the illness...we could collaborate and make a movie together. This subject has always been a fascinating one for me...dark but with light at the end of the tunnel...let me know, and nice to meet you.
