Ok, gang...I've seen the posts before about sequels. We've seen some good ones and some real turkeys. Now, I ask as I have adapted a sequel for radio as the first one was a huge success. Does anyone have any suggestions when directing/producing a sequel? I'm having to do this and I've been lucky that the cast all said that they would come back so I know that's a first. But seriously, does anyone have any suggestions or advice for directing sequels to first make it bridge to the first piece and keep is energy and charm.
First important question. Do you own or have you secured rights to the material?

Yes, I wouldn't do an adaptation otherwise.
Just checking :-)... It amazes me how many people have written sequels/prequels, thinking they are allowed to do so without permission.

So Marv, any suggestions for Arthur?
Thanks Parker. LOL My personal thoughts on sequels is this; take the essence of the original and create a new story.
I truly appreciate this, folks. The first part got nominated for a local award and I think we're going to be able to take it. The second installment is written and going into production and will be ready to air in December.
What's the prequel to the sequel called?
