The Industry is scary?!

I read an article from Stephen Spielburg. He made a reference to the movie industry "imploding" There was so much more but that word stuck. Then I read the articles on the new Xbox, and PS. Suddenly I had to question myself more deeply. The business models in all of the entertainment industry will be in constant flux. Consider the following; Gaming consoles and Smart TV's taking the place of cable boxes. Improvements in Online gaming will eliminate the need for disks. Gaming companies needing new, better storytelling. Animation companies have filed for bankruptcy. (including anime companies re evaluating) DSLRs are the new Gorilla filmmaking method. New distribution methods, Netflix, HULU, Amazon Studios, and others are coming. I can go on, and on. What does this say for the producers, directors, etc? The Indie world can look itself in the mirror and say "Anything goes"! It can be intimidating but MAN IT CAN BE SO EXCITING! I am looking forward to the future, and I hope you are too. Please share this so more perspectives can be heard.

I am a man a pure continuous innovations. The reason why I think visual effect companies are in financial ruin is because of their lack of diversity. Gaming console streaming and online movie content streaming came in with the loudest bang ever created and nobody in Hollywood with financial pull heard it. The internet bandwidth is getting faster and faster with Cisco network routers is just down right ridiculous. The forever expanding of web domains is crazy. So what does this mean? The playing field is now completely leveled. The difference now between big budget films and low budget films is finally realize in pure talent and creativity. There is a magazine called Streaming Media who showcase actors who we have seen in the past films are now converting there garages and small warehouses into film studios. The technology from companies like Matrox, Blackmagic, AJA, BlueFish, Grassvalley, Editshare, and etc is making it all possible to created, edit and deploy your vision to more people around the world than any Hollywood movie production company can ever do. Stephen Spielberg is one of the few directors who actually saw the now known film industry imploding a decade ago. Big budget films returns are getting smaller and smaller. I truly believe that that we a forgetting how to tell a story and let the story speak for itself. So many movies are highly effects driven. The effects are so amazing we walk out of the movie remembering what the movie was about. To quote your statement "MAN IT CAN BE SO EXCITING"
