Inspired by true events, USA’s new one-hour drama, GRACELAND, about the adrenaline-fueled world of a diverse group of undercover agents whose lies are their lives, premieres Thursday, June 6 at 10/9c. From Executive Producer and WHITE COLLAR creator, Jeff Eastin, the series stars Daniel Sunjata (“Rescue Me”), Aaron Tveit (“Les Miserables”), Vanessa Ferlito (“Stand Up Guys”), Brandon Jay McLaren (“Falling Skies”), Manny Montana (“Chicago Code”) and Serinda Swan (“Breakout Kings”). GRACELAND is a place where nothing is what it seems and everyone has a secret. From the outside, this idyllic beachfront property is inhabited by a group of young roommates. Inside, a vastly different world is exposed: one that sustains itself through a complex web of lies. GRACELAND delves into the lives of an elusive group of undercover agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), who live and operate under one roof. When forced to give up any shred of normalcy and the question of trust is a matter of life or death, the house becomes their sanctuary, their “Graceland.” Graduating at the top of his class, FBI rookie, Mike Warren (Tveit) anticipates a traditional DC desk job when he’s unexpectedly shipped to “Graceland.” Immediately thrown into his first undercover assignment, he relies heavily on the guidance of legendary FBI agent and mentor Paul Briggs (Sunjata). Briggs is an unusually Zen senior agent who notoriously hates the rule book and will go to any length to protect “Graceland” from the outside world. The ensemble cast features Ferlito as strong-willed FBI agent Catherine “Charlie” DeMarco, McLaren as quick-tempered Customs agent Dale Jakes, Swan as intuitive and merciless DEA Agent Paige Arkin and Montana as the fun-loving prankster FBI agent Joe “Johnny” Tuturro. Guest stars this season include Gbenga Akinnagbe (“The Wire”), Pedro Pascal (“The Good Wife”), Mia Kirschner (“The L Word”), Vincent Laresca (“Weeds”), Courtney B. Vance (“Revenge”), Scottie Thompson (“Star Trek”), Brooke Smith (“Ray Donovan”), Clayne Crawford (“A Walk To Remember”) and Jay Karnes (BURN NOTICE). From Fox Television Studios, Jeff Eastin serves as creator and executive producer. DANIEL SUNJATA Daniel Sunjata stars as FBI Agent Paul Briggs on USA Network’s new hour-long drama series, GRACELAND, which premieres Thursday, June 6th at 10/9c. Sunjata is best known for his portrayal of firefighter Franco Rivera in the critically-acclaimed series “Rescue Me” opposite Denis Leary for seven seasons. In 2006, Sunjata portrayed fashion designer James Holt in the film adaptation of the best-selling novel “The Devil Wears Prada,” starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway and in the romantic comedy “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past” alongside Jennifer Garner and Matthew McConaughey. Sunjata’s additional film credits include “Bad Company,” which starred Anthony Hopkins and Chris Rock, the 2004 Woody Allen film “Melinda Melinda” opposite Will Ferrell and Noel, starring Penelope Cruz and Susan Sarandon. Sunjata garnered rave reviews for his portrayal of Langston Hughes in the 2004 Rodney Evans film “Brother to Brother” as well as legendary baseball player Reggie Jackson in the TV series “The Bronx is Burning.” Sunjata’s other television credits include notable appearances on “Love Monkey,” “Law & Order,” “Law & Order: SVU,” “Sex and the City,” the film “The Feast of All Saints,” and a starring role alongside Andie MacDowell in “At Risk” and “The Front” – two movies adapted from the novels of America's #1 best-selling crime writer Patricia Cornwell. Sunjata’s repertoire is not only limited to film and television though. He was nominated for a Tony award for his role as Darren Lemming in “Take Me Out,” the 2003 Tony Award winning play by Richard Greenberg. He has also appeared in “Henry VIII” at the New York Shakespeare Festival, “Twelfth Night” at the Guthrie Theater and “Cyrano de Bergerac” opposite Kevin Klein at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Born in Evanston, IL, Sunjata was raised in Chicago and graduated from Mount Carmel High School. He did his undergraduate studies at Florida A&M University and the University of Southwestern Louisiana, and received his Master’s degree in Fine Arts from New York University. Sunjata has also starred opposite Katherine Heigl in “One For The Money,” in the independent drama “Gone” opposite Amanda Seyfriend, and in the massive blockbuster hit “The Dark Knight Rises” opposite Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway. Sunjata currently resides in Los Angeles.
